Kirby Misperton

Kirby Misperton is the location of a well site in Ryedale, in neighbouring North Yorkshire, where fracking has been given the green light. A camp has been set up with a great deal of local support, to protect the area and to continue the campaign against “this ‘stop-gap’ industry that the Government is trying to force on communities across the country.” (Jackie Cray, Local Resident).

More detail on the decision to allow fracking at Kirby Misperton can be found here.

Meanwhile, a steady stream of supporters from the local area and further afield have been providing the protectors who are camped at Kirby Misperton with food and supplies.
